The Vivaldi Project: 4 is an up-to-the-minute reimagining of Vivaldi’s masterwork, The Four Seasons. In a world premiere commissioned by the Arsht Center, composer Sam Hyken (co-artistic director of Miami's genre bending chamber orchestra Nu Deco Ensemble) collaborates with Jennifer Weber (director of Brooklyn's phenomenal hip hop dance company Decadancetheatre) to create a new work that combines classical music and hip-hop dance in new ways and invites audiences to take a fresh look at both art forms.

Made in Miami, Nu Deco Ensemble is a virtuosic and eclectic chamber orchestra designed for the 21st century. Its mission is to create compelling and transformative genre-bending classical music experiences that inspire, enrich and connect new and diverse audiences and artists. Founded and directed by Jacomo Bairos and Sam Hyken, Nu Deco Ensemble ignites the imaginations and passions of music lovers of all ages, contributing significantly to the cultural renaissance of South Florida. Fusing a collaborative enthusiasm for  new music with classical and popular traditions, Nu Deco Ensemble aspires to represent Miami on the world's stage.

“Outstanding Emerging Choreographer” New York Dance and Performance Award (Bessie) nominee, Decadancetheatre has been redefining theatrical hip-hop since 2004. Based in Brooklyn, Decadancetheatre has become a key ambassador of authentic, New York City hip-hop culture around the world through performances, workshops and creative commissions.  Led by artistic director Jennifer Weber, the company pushes boundaries of the language of hip hop, opening up the cypher to the concert stage.
